Hagatna Bay

  • Description
Hagåtña Bay is the capital of Guam, a U.S. territory located on the island’s western shore. The town is home to the island’s first church, Dulce Nombre de Maria, built by Guam’s first Spanish missionary, Padre San Vitores, in 1668. Hagåtña boasts a number of tall office buildings, with the center of town made up of shops and small restaurants. Each year the annual Liberation Day Parade is celebrated on July 21st. It is one of the largest holidays in Guam and takes place on Hagåtña’s Marine Drive.
