#CSA13 – 1863 20c Confederate States - George Washington - green

  • Description
Faced with a shortage of coins, the Confederacy printed 20¢ Washington stamps to be used primarily as currency. The historic stamp was also used postally to pay the 20-cent overweight double-letter rate. Pairs paid the 40-cent Trans-Mississippi rate. However, postal use was rare – and as you can see, genuine examples are scarce and command higher prices. Own your own piece of genuine Civil War history with a stamp that survived America’s bloodiest conflict! Get your scarce Confederate stamp today.
