With the Persian Gulf War foremost in the news, most Americans felt that "what the world needs now is love...." The stamp was once again issued in both sheet and booklet form. The corresponding 52¢ two-ounce first-class rate Love stamp (U.S. #2537) features a pair of brightly colored Fisher's lovebirds, cuddling on a palm frond.
